Without Moral Limits

Increasingly today, women turn to drugs and technology to control reproduction. Researchers constantly come up with more exotic techniques—pre-implantation diagnosis, embryo transplants, and artificial placentation. As a result, infertility and reproduction have become big business. Commercial operations are springing up where couples can buy eggs, sperm, embryos, and surrogacy service.

But the “technodocs” use these invasive techniques to reshape human reproduction according to their own goals—at tremendous cost to women’s health and dignity, as well as to prenatal life. What happens to God’s design for sexuality and childbearing in the process?
